Welcome to the Jersey Shore Hurricanes AAU Basketball for 2018!

Hope your son/daughter is enjoying a successful ’17-18’ middle or high school season so far.  Since AAU season is on the horizon, we’re getting things together for the coming season.  The JS Hurricanes are looking to build on last year’s success and get ready for a great 2018 campaign. 

Jersey Shore Hurricanes Basketball Club EST 2004, is looking for players for our spring season which runs from March to the first week of June. The program's focus is in the development of players. We cater to all skills levels and multiple sport athletes. We are inviting all players which must be accompanied by a parent to attend our free workout to witness our skills and drills approach to the game. The teams will play in a league in Long Branch along with some local tournaments. A parents meeting will be held to review the details of the program and a deposit will be required in order to hold a place on a team.

The season will run from February to June and will consist of training, tournament play, and individual games.
  • Practices can be on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. The time slots and days for your team will be determined on the availability of each team
  • Practice can also be on weekends when we are not playing games.
  • Practice will be at North Dover, Int East or Silver Bay Elementary Schools.

    Eligibility:  We are looking for players from multiple age groups.  Final decisions on which age group(s) we will compete in will be based on the tryouts.

    Season Focus:  The focus of the season is to strengthen the individual player’s core skills through conditioning, skill development, offensive and defensive sets, and tournament play. The intent of the program is to mentally and physically prepare the player for their high school team in the coming year. In addition, an added focus for the 2018 season is on providing more exposure by entering higher level tournaments and camps and to better assist those looking to play after high school.

    Birth Certificate:  We will need to have a copy of each player’s birth certificate which we will take to games/tournaments. We will not copy or distribute copies of the birth certificates we are given. It is solely for proof of age if tournament directors require it.

    Calendar of Tournaments – MARCH 24th, APRIL 14th, APRIL 21st, MAY 5th (overnight PA Tournament, Hotel info to follow). MAY 12th, (one Day Makeup for any reason we can't play on one of the weekends.), MAY 20th, JUNE 10th.  

    · Medical Forms – We will distribute a medical form to be filled out that contains emergency contact and vital information in the case of an emergency.
